so...the lightning (both hear and thunder storm based) was CRAZY this evening. I went out onto the balcony in our hotel (bohemian riverside). but forgot my camera card up in the room. then turns out i was on low battery and had no spares, so i only shot for about fifteen minutes (there's been lightning every five seconds for the last hour at least).

I'm really liking lightning photography, it's a lot of waiting, but the results are awesome.

Shoot with Chris went well today! I hadn't done a shoot in a long time, so I was a bit rusty. We got some decent shots. very simple, honest, and humble, trying to get at his style of music. He played the songs from his upcoming EP he had on his Ipod, and they sound really good, I'm excited to get my hands on a copy! check out the teaser for it at his site. Alex and jon pulling their canoe over some marsh grass. In Killarney this summer, we took Kirk's Creek as a short cut to avoid a three kilometer portage. It was possibly one of the roughest two kilometers / five hours of my life.

We're used to interior canoeing, and we've done some pretty rough trips, but this felt like something straight out of The Heart Of Darkness.

On the map it's marked off as a non-navigable creek, and comes with some type of warning, but we thought we'd take it anyways. lessons learned.

In a field outside of town, we could always be alone.

a shot from earlier tonight. I was at the Opera House with Chris Hau, Jenn, Christian, and Matt. They were great, they preformed some of Chris' song, and were the best gig of the night. since it was a more proper event, they gave me x's on my hands with a 'b', signifying that I was with the band. A new for me and i felt completely entitled!

I'm going to Killarney for the next 6 days, so you're gonna see a mix of landscapes and concert shots for a while after the 18th.
